And this time, your "gift" does not even have to be anything you will need to buy!** You can finally get rid of those large bags and boxes taking up space in your closets and garages, while also having a great time listening to music and meeting both established and up and coming folks in the entertainment industry.

**All clothing donors will receive a 15% off coupon for merchandise at The Store by Girlie Design.

 WHY RIGHT NOW?

During a time of so-called "recession", it is easier than ever for us to get lost in our own day-to-day and forget about those who are without life's bare necessities. Even NOW with gas prices and unemployment steadily rising, the possibility of union strikes, the mortgage mess, plummeting stocks, etc., there is no excuse to neglect one another. That makes NOW the best time for us to be grateful for what we DO have and reminded of those who DO NOT have even clothing to put on their backs. NOW is the best time to be responsible for one another.

What better way to do so than at a fun mixer with other amazing people?

WHY  RIGHT  NOW?

Millions of Americans, particularly artists and the self-employed, harbor the anxiety of living every day without health insurance. In 2007, Sharae` Nikai Robinson, a multi-faceted performer and founder of The Be. Do. Have. Foundation , contracted a severe case of bronchitis and walking pneumonia. While graduating  from college is an accomplishment to celebrate, for Sharae`, that also meant she was no longer covered by her parents’ health insurance.

The fear and hopelessness she experienced while seeking treatment with limited funds and no health coverage stayed with her until it manifested into the idea to create this event. The empathy for other artists who share similar circumstances combined with this year’s political climate, made it clear to Sharae` that the time to raise awareness of America’s healthcare crisis is NOW.
